Toxic masculinity is often misunderstood as an extreme or exaggerated form of masculinity, but in reality, it represents the absence of true masculinity. Genuine masculinity embodies qualities such as strength, responsibility, compassion, and respect for others. In contrast, toxic masculinity is characterized by aggression, emotional suppression, dominance, and a disregard for the well-being of others, which are not inherently masculine traits but rather distortions of them. Therefore, toxic masculinity is not a display of real masculinity but rather a failure to embrace and express authentic masculine values.
